Spotlight: Tornillo Coyotes
Huge congratulations go out to the Tornillo Coyote boys basketball team for winning their second back-to-back district championship last night. The Coyotes are led by some outstanding seniors, including three Viggo Basketball players in Victor Valenzuela, David Martinez and one of the top players in West Texas, Jesus Delgado.
Jesus is not just one of the best players in the state, but he’s the number one student in his class. Last night he was presented with the UTEP Presidential Scholarship for all his hard work in the classroom.
We are proud of these boys and wish them continued success on and off the court.
